i almost broke my ankle at Ennio
just kidding, I am clickbaiting y'all. but the venue we were at had "steps" kind of, so people standing far behind would also be standing a little higher, just like .. stairs. but they arched forwards so I was constantly like standing on a hill that was going down, which my 30 year old ankle did not like. I felt like if someone pushed me, it would actually snap LMAO
but lets start at the beginning:
I took the day off of work to have enough time to get ready for the concert. the plan was, that I was going to stay at Melinas place, so I would be able to have a little drinky-drink at the concert and go partying after that. but Melina had to cancel last minute, so that fell flat. I called a friend, who was going to come with us, if I could just drive with her instead to the concert & head back home after that. So that's what we did! ✨
We drove to Hannover, parked in a parking garage and ate a Döner across the venue. I also had a little beer with it. I mean, "eins ist keins" (one is none) as we say in Germany. We entered the venue at 8pm and Shelly Coral started playing her songs. I did not know her at first, but towards the end I recognized some lyrics I must've picked up off tiktok or instagram, idk really. She was alright, but I probably wouldn't buy a ticket for her tour.
And then. The star of the show. Ennio - charming as always, made a little speech about how we all should take care of each other during the concert, watch out if everyone is alright and if someone is feeling a little uneasy, just be brave enough to communicate with those around you. It was actually wholesome he did that, which was a great reminder for everyone how concerts should be in general!
A few songs of his new album I wasn't too familiar with, but the bangers I was hoping he would play, he played. We danced, WHOOOOOOO'ed and sang along so much! It was fun as always <3 Can't say much more about it, other than that the show was great. He even did a little "skit" I would say, where he pretended to be in his rehearsal room/studio with us to write a new song. He started with a loop-station where he looped his guitar, piano and most importantly: us. We had to be his choir for the chorus (I think). At least he said we would be creating something together which he could use is his song.. but I doubt that, since there are more shows to come. Either he is combining all the crowd recordings together or makes different versions of his "Barcelona" (that's what the song is going to be called I suppose)-Song as in Barcelona_Hannover.mp3, Barcelona_Berlin.mp3 and so on and so forth.
Can you even follow me on this one? LMAO If not, I am sorry.
See you after the festival! ♥️
